A traffic stop near Transit Road and Seneca Street in Elma at 1:17 a.m. Friday resulted in several drug charges against a Bradford, Pa., man, Erie County Sheriff's deputies said.
Tyler Yohe, 27, was charged with four misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana possession. During the traffic stop, a deputy discovered opioid-based prescription drugs, Xanax, lorazepam, Suboxone, marijuana and glass pipe, as well as brass knuckles.
While Yohe was being processed in Erie County Holding Center, authorities said, more drugs were found, including a crack pipe with residue in his shoe and nearly 2.5 grams of crack cocaine in his buttocks. As a result, he also was charged with two felony counts of introducing contraband into prison, a felony count of criminal possession of cocaine and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The suspect is being held pending arraignment.
