Three accused of attacking, robbing man in his Amherst home

An Amherst man was attacked and robbed by three men about 12:45 a.m. Thursday in his home on Old Lyme Road.

Amherst police said three suspects were arrested shortly after the crime in the victim's flat on Old Lyme Road off Maple Road. Joseph Stephens, 22, of the City of Tonawanda; Dakota J. Lee, 21, of Depew; and Dominik C. Royce, 21, of Amherst, were charged each with third-degree assault. Lee also was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substances.

Police said the suspects, armed with a handgun and a knife, stole prescription drugs. The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
