One of few undeveloped Williamsville-area parcels up for sale

One of the few remaining parcels that could be developed next to the Village of Williamsville – a narrow but long sliver of land on Main Street containing a handful of structures and the home of a fruit stand and farmers market – is up for sale.

Owner Heather Pope has put the property at 5226-5228 Main St., located near the corner of Main and North Forest Road, on the market for $1.1 million, through McGuire Development Co.

The 1.17-acre property is sandwiched between a KeyBank branch and a Wendy's restaurant, immediately to the west and in front of a Tops Markets store. It's also across Main Street from Ellicott Development Co.'s Mosey building, with the Wyndham Garden Hotel.

The site, zoned for "general business," has a handful of older buildings, but no stores or other major businesses.

That's "what makes this place so unique," said McGuire broker Vito Picone. "It makes it a great location for a new development."
