M&T Bank this summer plans to make changes to a City of Tonawanda branch.
The bank will close a remote building at 90 Morgan St., which houses a drive-up teller and ATM behind its branch at 65 Broad St. Those services will be relocated to the side of the Broad Street branch. M&T has filed a request with the state Department of Financial Services to close the remote building.
M&T expects to complete the transition on July 10. The remote building will be removed to create more customer parking, said Julia Berchou, an M&T spokeswoman. And the consolidation will bring the entire branch team under one roof and extend the location's service hours.
Separately, the state Department of Financial Services said it determined M&T's planned closing of two branches, at 23 Main St. in Bemus Point in Chautauqua County and 48 N. Main St. in Delevan in Cattaraugus County, in June "will not result in significant reductions of banking services in the communities to be affected."
