The second annual Warrior Walk Wednesday, which features a walking tour that highlights the history and heritage of neighborhoods in the City of Tonawanda, will be offered on April 26.
The walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. in front of the historic Benjamin Long Homestead, 24 East Niagara St. The walk also will include a tour of the Long Homestead.
Common Council President Jenna Koch called the walks a wonder opportunity to meet new people and see the "hidden jewels" of the city.
Warrior Walk Wednesday runs through Sept. 6. Walks vary in length, but each is about 1 1/2 miles long. Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. Donations of non-perishable will be accepted for the local food pantry.
More information is available on the Warrior Walk Wednesdays Facebook page or by contacting Jenna Koch, firstname.lastname@example.org.
