Within two days before adding experienced depth at quarterback, the Buffalo Bills got a closer look at two of the NFL Draft's top players at the position.
Bills representatives held a private workout for Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer on Saturday at South Bend, Ind., and North Carolina's Mitchell Trubisky on Sunday in Chapel Hill, N.C., the Buffalo News confirmed.
The Kizer workout was first reported by USA Today's Tom Pelissero, while the Trubisky workout was first reported by NFL Media's Mike Garafolo.
On Monday, the Bills, who own the 10th overall pick of the draft, signed veteran backup T.J. Yates.
North Carolina co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer posted a photograph of himself posing with Bills coach Sean McDermott and Bills owner Terry Pegula, who were on hand for the Trubisky workout after also attending the Kizer workout.
