Niagara County Legislator Michael A. Hill, R-Hartland, has announced he will run this fall for his seventh two-year term.
Hill, whose 15th District covers the towns of Royalton and Hartland, said he co-sponsored ethical changes for county legislators, including a ban on former legislators lobbying the county government.
“While we cannot control what transpires in Albany related to ethic rules, we have taken a pro-active, substantive position to address the actions and activities of legislators in Niagara County," Hill said.
The county used Seneca Niagara Casino revenue for tax relief in both towns in district, as well as for community projects, he said.
He also sponsored resolutions calling for repeal of New York's SAFE Act gun control bill and a residency requirement for welfare recipients.
