Bills running back LeSean McCoy took exception to an Instagram post Sunday from Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso, calling the player he was once traded for a "BUM" and taking a shot at Alonso's new contract.
"Boy ya dad wish u was as good as me," McCoy wrote, adding that Alonso's four-year deal worth up to nearly $29 million is "garbage."
"My 2011 money," McCoy wrote. "Take me off ya page u BUM."
McCoy was still on his rookie contract in 2011 but likely means the five-year, $45 million contract he signed in 2012.
The Bills-Dolphins rivalry cooled in recent years but got hot last season after Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry injured Bills safety Aaron Williams with a high block that ultimately ended Williams' season. Landry was penalized and fined more than $24,000 for the hit.
Former Bills receiver Marquise Goodwin also jumped into the comments, seeming to back McCoy.
Former Bills linebacker Zach Brown also called out Alonso recently, calling the linebacker "soft" when broadcasters mentioned his hand injury during the Dolphins' playoff game.
They talking about his hand. I play over half the season wit a messed up hand lmao you soft 47

Alonso was liked in Buffalo before the blockbuster trade that sent him to the Eagles in 2015. The Bills led the NFL in rushing in each of McCoy's first two seasons in Buffalo.
