Three men arrested after Ontario Street woman is beaten

Three men were arrested shortly before midnight Saturday after a 44-year-old woman told police she was beaten and had chairs thrown through the window of her Ontario Street home.

Police said the attack happened on Ontario Street near Laird Avenue when Jalon Posey Jr., 26, of Lasalle Avenue, and Benjamin Jones, 29, of Keystone Street, punched and kicked the woman's face and body. Police said Posey and Darnell Pearsall, 31, of South Park Avenue, also threw chairs through a window of the woman's house, shattering it.

During the attack, police said, Posey displayed what appeared to be a black handgun.

Posey was charged with two counts of second-degree menacing and one count of third-degree assault, all misdemeanors; third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, for damaging a vehicle; and second-degree harassment, a violation. Jones was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment and third-degree assault; and Pearsall was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

The three were arrested at Tonawanda and Rano streets.
