Four arrested on felony charges in attack, possession of stolen gun

Four suspects were arrested in the assault on a man in the first block of Hastings Avenue early Sunday afternoon, Buffalo police said.

Three of the suspects, from Buffalo, were identified as Devin Gidney, 28, of Colfax Street; Zackery Wilkerson, 22, of Langfield Avenue; and Markethy McClellan, 28, of Cambridge Avenue. The other suspect was identified as Shaconey Carter, 33, of Glenhaven Road, Amherst. Each was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree assault. They remained in the Erie County Holding Center Sunday night.

Police said they were dispatched to the scene of the attack to investigate a report of shots fired. There, they confiscated a recently fired gun that had been reported stolen in Ohio about 20 years ago, police said.
