A 30-year-old Cheektowaga man was shot when he emerged from a house in the 100 block of Wilkes Avenue shortly after someone hurled an incendiary device at the residence shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, Buffalo police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was treated for a gunshot wound in Erie County Medical Center and released, according to police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge. Buffalo firefighters extinguished a blaze triggered by the incendiary device. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
