LOCKPORT - A Lockport man who pleaded guilty in a home invasion case last year was sentenced Friday to time served and five years' probation.
Isaiah A. Piazza, 20, of Erie Street, forced his way into a mobile home May 26 on Ridge Road in Newfane and robbed the resident of money and a video game at knifepoint. Piazza was arrested that day and had been in the Niagara County Jail ever since.
State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. could have given Piazza a state prison term of as long as seven years, but decided to give him a chance on probation. If Piazza violates probation, the seven years remain a possibility.
