Conor Oberst announces Babeville performance

Critically-acclaimed songwriter Conor Oberst is set to make his return to Buffalo at 8 p.m. Sept. 14 in Babeville's Asbury Hall (341 Delaware Ave.).

The Omaha musician, long known for his work under the Bright Eyes moniker as well as with acts like Desaparecidos and Monsters of Folk, has had a busy calendar year. He just released his latest album, the robust, fleshed out "Salutations" this March. The record is the full-band companion to the bare-bones counterpart "Ruminations," which was shared in the final quarter of 2016.

Tickets are set to go on sale for $30-$35 at noon April 7 (box office, Ticketweb or charge by phone at 866-777-8932). Further event details can be found here.

A previous version of this article said that tickets went on sale at noon April 5. That is the pre-sale date.
