Rob Gronkowski jumps into WrestleMania ring, delivers knockout block

You can add the wrestling ring to the list of stages conquered by Rob Gronkowski.

The New England Patriots tight end and Amherst native jumped into the middle of a match at WrestleMania 33 Sunday night in Orlando.

In the annual pay-per-view event, Gronkowski hopped into the ring during a match involving his friend, WWE star Mojo Rawley.

Gronkowski got into a confrontation with wrestler Jinder Mahal outside the ring, when Mahal threw a drink at the NFL star.

Gronkowski later got into the ring and knocked Mahal down and Rawley eventually won the match. Watch for yourself:

 

According to Pro Football Talk, Gronkowski got permission from the Patriots before making the appearance. Grownkowski underwent season-ending back surgery in December and missed playing in the Super Bowl.
