NORTH HARMONY – An out-of-town motorist faces drug and weapons charges after he was pulled over Monday by New York State Police for speeding on Interstate 86 in the hamlet of Stow.

Thomas Sanchez, 20, of Lynn, Mass., was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

After he was pulled over, troopers said they smelled marijuana emanating from inside of Sanchez’s vehicle.
