Wegmans recalls Original Killer Brownies with Pecans

Wegmans has voluntarily recalled its Original Killer Brownies with Pecans because it may contain an allergen not listed on its label.

The brownies could contain peanuts which, if ingested by someone with a peanut allergy, could be life threatening.

Sold in the bakery section of stores in New York State, the brownies have best-by dates from March 21 through April 5. They bear the UPC number 20818400000 and were sold from March 16 to April 1. They were sold by the pound in a plastic clamshell container or individually wrapped at the self-serve cookie bar.

Locally, the brownies were only sold at two stores; on Sheridan Drive in Williamsville and on McKinley Parkway in Blasdell.

There have been no injuries or illnesses reported. Customers should return the product to Wegmans for a full refund. Those with questions should call 1-855-934-3663.
