Buffalo man accused of choking woman during argument

A man accused of choking a woman was arrested early Sunday in his West Cleveland Drive home, Buffalo police said.

Davonte Carter, 25, is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree assault, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The attack, police said, occurred during an argument in the victim's Humber Avenue home about 6 a.m. Sunday. Carter also punched his victim in the face and damaged her television before leaving, police said.
