Damages estimated at $1 million in fire at Symphony Circle house

A fire broke out at a Symphony Circle house early Monday morning, causing $1 million in damage, Buffalo fire officials said.

The fire was reported shortly before 12:30 a.m. at 69 Symphony Circle, near Kleinhans Music Hall.

Fire officials estimated that the blaze caused $750,000 in damage to the structure and $250,000 to the contents.

The 4,200-square-foot house was built in 1878, according to city property records.

There were no reports of injuries. The cause was under investigation.
