UFC 210 in Buffalo has sold over 14,000 tickets to date

UFC 210 has sold over 14,000 tickets already, with gate expected to top $1.5 million, sources told The Buffalo News.

The event will be held April 8 at Buffalo's KeyBank Center.

The arena's capacity is 19,200 for hosting basketball games (as it did last weekend with the NCAA Tournament), according to the facility's website.

The visit by UFC is just the second time that mixed martial arts event has been held in Buffalo -- the first was at the Memorial Auditorium in 1995.

Mixed martial arts events were not permitted in New York State until 2016. UFC held an event at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 12, 2016. UFC 208 was held Feb. 11 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The 13-bout card for the event is headlined by a rematch for the light heavyweight championship between champion Daniel Cormier and top-ranked challenger Anthony Johnson.

Tickets for UFC 210 are available at the KeyBank Center Box Office, online at www.tickets.com, or by calling 888-223-6000.
