Pool table cut loose by Bills finds a new home in Manhattan

The pool table exiled from the Buffalo Bills’ locker room ended up in the right hands.

Chris Hagstrom, 46, is a lifelong Bills fan who grew up in Bemus Point and now lives in Manhattan, where he works in banking. He’s been a Bills season-ticket holder for about 16 years and seized the chance to buy a one-of-a-kind piece of the team he loves.

He won Cash Realty & Auction’s online auction for the 8-foot pool table, complete with Bills team colors and logos, with a top bid of $8,000. The Bills’ new head coach, Sean McDermott, banished the pool table from the locker room, preferring players focus on football instead.

The pool table is in storage but will be shipped to Lititz, Pa., in eastern Pennsylvania, where Hagstrom’s family has a summer home.

“It’s like what it said in the ad: a must-have for a fanatic,” Hagstrom said. “It’s priceless. I feel that way. You never know if you’ll get a chance for something like that again.”
