NIAGARA FALLS - A Niagara Falls woman told police she was robbed and attacked early Friday by a man she met hours earlier.
The victim was at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where the man asked if he could stay with her for a few days, police said. She agreed, and the two went to her McKenna Avenue home and drank for “a few hours’’ before she decided to go to bed, police added.
The victim's new acquaintance, however, threatened the woman with a knife, punched her in the head and made off with her cellphone and seven hydrocodone tablets, police said. The attacker fled from the victim’s home. The woman was not seriously injured, police said.
