New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie watches Notre Dame-Princeton at KeyBank Center. (James P. McCoy/Buffalo News)

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was back at KeyBank Center Saturday for Notre Dame's second-round game against West Virginia, two days after he rooted the Irish to victory over a team from his home state.

Notre Dame trailed the entire game before being eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by West Virginia, 83-71, and Christie's displeasure with the officials seemed widely known by anyone within earshot.

A sampling:

[ND coach Mike Brey: Christie "knows more about my team than some of my staff."]

At least the officials probably get to fly home.
