Wisconsin Badgers ready to party in Buffalo

With 19 straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament, Wisconsin knows how to make the most of March Madness. The Badgers are ready to party.

Following the team’s open practice Wednesday afternoon in HarborCenter, the Badgers will host a pep rally in Cobblestone Bar and Grill. The free event, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will feature the University of Wisconsin band, the school’s spirit squad and mascot Bucky Badger.

The Badgers will continue the festivities on game day. Bucky, the band and spirit squad will have a team send-off at 7:40 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of the Buffalo Niagara Marriott on Millersport Highway in Amherst.

If Wisconsin wins Thursday's game over Virginia Tech – the Badgers are 13-2 in first-round matchups since 2002 – there will be another send-off Saturday.
