Trump only cares about the wealthy
It’s becoming ever more apparent that the current GOP administration is totally skewed to enabling the wealthy in this country, not the middle class geared to their grass-roots supporters.
The latest details of the health care repeal/replacement roll-out offer little compassion and even less reality on the part of Rep. Paul Ryan’s contingent in Congress. What happened to President Trump’s promise to provide better health insurance at lower costs for all Americans? The idea of a $2,000 to $4,000 yearly tax credit for private individual access to health coverage is ludicrous. With the emphasis on age versus income, the wealthy elite will continue to benefit while the majority of Americans suffer not only in the immediate future but also in the long run. A wide majority of Americans do not have adequate savings for retirement. Paying for the immediacy of health concerns limits future savings even further. We are the only industrialized nation in the world that does not provide all our citizens with health care. The Affordable Care Act was an attempt to advance coverage to more Americans and close the gap.
Rolling back employee safety regulations and reversing EPA standards increase the detriments to constituents’ health.
With Trump in power, we are all sliding closer to a society of aristocrats and peasants and “we, the people” caused this travesty.
