Letter: Collins works for party, not for his constituents

Collins works for party, not for his constituents

Adam Zyglis’ March 4 editorial cartoon was a laugh but it’s easy to understand how Rep. Chris Collins got the idea that it was OK not to have town hall meetings. He owes the fact that he got that job due to the gerrymandered district the party bosses got for him. He thinks he works for the party, not for us his constituents.

So it’s not a surprise “Lord” Collins would prefer to deal with his constituents one at a time, where he can smile, pat them on the head and send them on their way rather than a large group who wish to remind him who he is supposed to work for.
