A Lockport man and a Wilson woman were arrested on drug charges Tuesday following a joint raid on a Prospect Street residence in Lockport by local law enforcement and New York State Police.
Joshua D. N. Subbuck, 31, and Mary L. Wagner were both charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Members of the Niagara County Drug Task Force and the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant shortly after 6:30 a.m. at 58 Prospect St., where authorities had suspected methamphetamine was being manufactured, according to Sheriff James R. Voutour and Lockport Police Chief Michael F. Niethe.
The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team also was sent to residence because of the volatile nature of the byproducts used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
The arrests followed on a six-month investigation into methamphetamine manufacturing at the Prospect Street address. Police said the investigation is continuing and that additional charges may be pending in the case.
Subbuck and Wagner were being held in police custody Tuesday prior to their arraignment in City of Lockport Court.
