Underage drinking raid yields one arrest, several tows

Police arrested one customer and towed several illegally parked vehicles after doing an underage enforcement sting Saturday night at Cruisers Bar in the Town of Niagara.

The raid at the Porter Road bar was in response to complaints of underage patrons being served alcohol, loud music and property damage, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, which conducted the operation along with the New York State Police, Town of Niagara Police Department, New York State Liquor Authority and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.

Malik R. Waite, 20, of the Bronx, was charged with underage drinking and is due to appear in the Town of Niagara Town Court.

In addition, deputies add, numerous vehicles illegally parked on both sides of 98th street outside of the bar were towed because of the violations as well as to allow emergency vehicles to pass safely through if necessary.
