Lockport Republicans endorse Niagara County Legislature chairman's re-election bid

LOCKPORT - The City of Lockport Republican Committee this week endorsed Niagara County Legislature Chairman W. Keith McNall for re-election to his Legislature seat.

McNall is running again this year in the 13th District, which covers most of the city. McNall, in his second year as Legislature chairman, will run for his sixth full two-year term as a legislator. He was serving as president of the Lockport Board of Education when he was appointed to a Legislature seat after the resignation of Glenn S. Aronow in December 2006.

"Keith McNall is pushing our county government in a new, more fiscally-conservative direction, and obviously, we’re pleased by that,” city GOP Chairman Adam VanDeMark said.

The GOP controls the Legislature by an 11-4 margin over the Democrats.
