Two big names in the world of sci-fi have been added to the guest list at Buffalo's Nickel City Con.
Billy Dee Williams, who played the suave Lando Calrissian in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," and Nichelle Nichols, Uhura from the original "Star Trek" TV series, will attend the second Nickel City Con, being held May 19-21 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center (153 Franklin St.).
The convention will be special for "Star Trek" fans since Nichols will join previously announced guest William Shatner at the event. (Shatner will appear May 20 only.)
Other guests slated to appear include Sam Jones (“Flash Gordon," “Ted"), WWE star Mick Foley and his daughter, Noelle Foley, Erin Gray (“Buck Rogers,” “Silver Spoons”) and comic artist Michael Golden (co-creator of the characters Rogue ("X-Men") and Bucky O’Hare).
