Pulaski ceremony to take place Friday in Buffalo

An annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Gen. Casimir Pulaski statue outside Ellicott Square in downtown Buffalo will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, the General Pulaski Association of the Niagara Frontier announced.

The public is invited.

Featured speakers will include award-winning journalist Andrew Nagorski, author of “The Nazi Hunters,” Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard, Mayor Byron W. Brown, Assemblywoman Monica Wallace, State Sens. Chris Jacobs and Tim Kennedy, County Comptroller Stefan Mychajliw, State Supreme Court Justice Henry J. Nowak, Polish Veterans Commander Stanley Przystal and Stanley Pulaski, a descendant of Gen. Pulaski.

The annual installation dinner for officers of the association will follow at 6 p.m. in the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.
