NIAGARA FALLS - A Niagara Falls man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after a crash that sent three people to the hospital on Monday night.
A Chrysler minivan and a Chrysler sedan collided at about 10:54 p.m. at the intersection of Falls and 27th streets, according to a Niagara Falls police report.
Police charged the minivan driver, identified as David A. Winkfield, 54, of Michigan Avenue, with DWI and failing to yield at a stop sign. Winkfield and a passenger, and the driver of the sedan, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, according to the police report.
Winkfield refused to submit to a blood test for alcohol at the hospital, according to the report. He's due in Niagara Falls City Court on March 8.
