A Jamestown man was awaiting arraignment Monday on charges related to the alleged kidnapping of a woman who told police she had been held against her will from Friday to Sunday in the man's apartment, according to authorities.
Joshua I. Turybury, 31, of McDaniel Ave., was arrested Monday at his apartment, according to Jamestown police.
Police had taken a criminal complaint from a woman who told police that, from early morning Friday to early morning Sunday, she was forced to stay in Turybury's apartment while being subjected to alleged mental, verbal and physical abuse, according to Jamestown police.
According to police, the victim sustained severe bruising, a broken nose and a chipped tooth.
Turybury, who was in custody, faces charges of second-degree kidnapping; second-degree assault; two counts of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation; and criminal mischief charges, according to police.
