Car in ditch leads to drug charge for driver

YORKSHIRE – A Hornell man was charged with driving while impaired by drugs early Saturday after his car found in a ditch along Route 16 in Yorkshire, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

Deputies responded to a call about the car in the ditch shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday.

The driver of the car, identified as Anthony D. Bulsch, 20, "had his ability to operate a motor vehicle appreciably impaired by a substance other than alcohol," officials said.

He was taken to a hospital for a blood test and then released to a third party. He was scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
