United Church Manor, the 50-unit housing community for senior citizens in West Seneca, will celebrate its 30th year and show off new amenities from 1 to 4 p.m. March 4.
The development, managed by United Church Home Society, is located at 50 North Ave. in a residential area off Union Road and Clinton Street. It opened its doors in 1987.
Ethel Nuse, the last of the original 50 residents, will be honored during the celebration. Currently, she participates in the community's noon-day meal program sponsored by Erie County, as well as other activities in the community.
Among new amenities at United Church Manor are full-sized appliances, open-concept kitchen and living areas, walk-in shower, energy-efficient lighting, library/computer room, laundry facility and a lounge featuring a big-screen TV and fireplace.
