UB student pleads guilty to driving while impaired in Amherst

Tyler Doogan, 20, a University at Buffalo senior, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired in Amherst Town Court Thursday afternoon.

Justice Geoffrey K. Klein fined Doogan $635 fine after reducing a driving while intoxicated charge stemming from the 3:30 a.m. Dec. 3, 2016, incident on Main Street in Amherst. He also suspended Doogan's driving privileges for 90 days, but granted him a 20-day stay on the suspension so he can set up short-term transportation.

Justice Klein also ordered the student to attend a drinking and driving program and attend a victim-impact session.
