The Psychedelic Furs to perform at the Town Ballroom

The Psychedelic Furs' just-announced 2017 tour itinerary will include a Buffalo stop at 7 p.m. April 15 in the Town Ballroom (681 Main St.).

Formed in London in 1977 by the Butlers brothers, the influential alternative rockers, whose sound ranged from post-punk to new-wave to goth, would go on to release a number of successful singles through the 1980s, most notably with its hit "Pretty in Pink." Originally found on the group's sophomore album "Talk Talk Talk," the track inspired the John Hughes' classic of the same name.

Despite not releasing a new album since the early 1991, the group has continued to tour after re-forming back in the early 2000s. For its latest stretch of dates, singer-songwriter Robyn Hitchcock, formally of the Soft Boys, will join the band for support.

Tickets will go on sale for $28-$33 at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 (box office, Ticketfly or charge by phone at 852-3900). Further event details can be found here.
