Jamestown police Monday arrested a motorist on a traffic stop during which they allegedly confiscated a loaded weapon from the man, police said.

Randy A. Haskins, 25, of Sinclairville, was stopped at about 1:30 p.m. by police on Allen Street, near Buffalo Street, according to authorities.

During an investigation, police said they found the driver to be in possession of a loaded .25 caliber pistol.
