When he was sidelined for 30 games earlier this season with a groin injury, the Sabres' Tyler Ennis had plenty of downtime during his rehab. It turns out that Buffalo winger was quietly crafting the launch of a retail condiment, Enzo Sauce.
The homemade hot sauce with a twist of buttermilk ranch dressing is available for purchase in Tops Markets and Wegmans, while an autographed version is available on the Enzo Sauce website for $20. A portion of the proceeds from sauce sales benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Matt Cook Foundation.
The autographed jars of sauce can also be found at Dave & Adam's Card World (8075 Sheridan Drive, East Amherst), as well as in the 100-level pavilion during the Feb. 18 clash with the Blues.
If you're really into dipping sauces or diminutive wingers, Ennis will post up at two locations in the coming days:
*6 to 7:15 p.m. Feb. 17 in Wegmans at 8270 Transit Road, East Amherst
*6 to 7:15 p.m. March 3 in Tops Friendly Markets at 4777 Transit Road, Depew
The Sabres tweeted an amusing video with Jack Eichel, Ryan O'Reilly, Sam Reinhart and Marcus Foligno complaining about the blandness of their food. Ennis presents his solution.

According to EnzoSauce.com, the popularity of Ennis' condiment spread throughout the team's locker room, spurring it to greater heights. It's even more personal of a product than record-setting Flutie Flakes, which raised money for autism in the late '90s.
