Pembroke native remains missing after disappearing in Miami

BATAVIA -  A Pembroke native remains missing in the Miami, Fla., area, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office reported Saturday.

Alexis Say, 22, was taken to a Miami hospital Monday after apparently suffering a seizure. She has not been heard from since, according to the Sheriff's Office. She is the granddaughter of the late Peggy Say, known for her efforts to free her brother, Terry Anderson, from captivity in Lebanon decades ago.

Say, who moved to Miami in October, borrowed a cellphone at the hospital to call her mother, Jennifer Say, on Monday, authorities said. She was last seen Monday waiting in the hospital lobby for a ride from an employee of a rehabilitation facility where she was treated recently, authorities said.

The Say family has distributed thousands of flyers and also alerted human trafficking task forces. Anyone with information is asked to text or call (585) 545-5045.
