Wegmans ranks No. 2 in corporate reputation study

Wegmans was ranked No. 2 for corporate reputation among the 100 "most visible" companies in the U.S., in a Harris Poll Reputation Quotient study.

The supermarket chain, which has 92 stores in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, earned a "reputation score" of 85.41, trailing No. 1 Amazon's 86.27.

Harris evaluated public perceptions of the 100 companies across 20 attributes, which were grouped into six categories: social responsibility, vision and leadership, financial performance, workplace environment, emotional appeal, and products and services.
