Blondie and Garbage are set to join forces to co-headline the must-see summer tour dubbed the "Rage and Rapture Tour."
The tour, announced by both bands on their Facebook pages, is slated to head to the area for a show at 7 p.m. July 25 at Artpark (450 S. 4th St., Lewiston). The date has not been officially announced by Artpark, but the Lewiston venue expects to make initial summer concert announcements later in February.
"We're honored to be joining forces with the truly iconic Blondie this summer 2017 for our co-headline Rage & Rapture Tour!," Garbage posted on its Facebook page. "Tickets will officially go on sale starting Feb. 17 (please check venue websites for most up-to-date on sale information) but we’re putting up a special pre-sale for our fans now (pre-sale not available in all markets).

The 20-plus date itinerary will feature opening sets from John Doe & Exene Cervenka of X and California blues-rocking duo Deep Valley.
Both acts will be on the road to support their latest efforts. The slick 90's hit-makers of Garbage continue to tour in support of 2016's "Strange Little Birds" while new-wave pioneer Blondie is prepping the release of the group's 11th studio album, the throw-back sounding "Pollinator," on May 5. The record will include contributions from Charli XCX, the Strokes' Nick Valensi, Johnny Marr and much more.
