Occupants escape Newfane house fire

NEWFANE - The occupants of a West Creek Road home were able to escape a fire on Wednesday night, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.

The blaze at 2571 West Creek Road was reported at 8:34 p.m., the Sheriff's Office said. Firefighters from Miller Hose and Olcott fire companies responded to the blaze.

A damage estimate was unavailable. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to authorities.

West Creek Road between Ide and Wilson-Bust roads was closed to traffic for a period of time.
