Somerset man charged with robbing Lockport gas station

LOCKPORT - The Niagara County Sheriff's Office has charged a Somerset man with robbing a South Transit Road gas station on Oct. 1.

Jamil T. Alhorebi, 31, is accused of threatening a clerk with a knife and taking cigarettes and cash from the Sunoco at 5985 South Transit, the Sheriff's Office said Monday. He was arrested Saturday night on Lakeview Drive in Somerset and charged with first-degree robbery and petit larceny.

Alhorebi was arraigned in Lockport Town Court and held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He's due back in court on Tuesday.
