University at Buffalo's wrestling team won for the eighth time in its last nine duals, rallying for a 20-12 victory over Eastern Michigan on Friday night at Alumni Arena.
The Bulls lost the first four matches of the dual but stormed back by winning each of the final six bouts. Muhamed McBryde started the rally with a 5-0 win at 174 pounds.
Brett Perry's 3-2 overtime win in which he scored the final two points on a reversal just before the buzzer at 184 also provided some big momentum for UB (9-4). Other winners for the Bulls included James Benhamin (197), Jake Gunning (285), Kyle Akins (125) and Bryan Lantry (133).
It's UB's third Mid-American Conference win, tying for most it has earned in a single season since joining the conference. The Bulls host Central Michigan at 2 p.m. Sunday.
