Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo has launched a Children’s Class of 2017 initiative to honor former and current patients and staff who have helped shape the hospital's 125-year history.
An honoree will be announced each month leading up to the hospital’s move in November to the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Each recipient’s story, along with a short video, will be featured on www.ChildrensisMoving.com.
“With so much excitement ahead in the coming year, we don’t want to lose sight of the people who’ve made the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo so special,” Hospital President Allegra Jaros said in a statement. “These honorees are a representation of the many staff members who have committed their lives to offering innovative and compassionate care and the thousands of patients whose joy and hope radiate through the hallways every day.”
Gail Szucs, whose nursing career spans 41 years in nearly every unit of the hospital, is the first employee to be recognized.
