Lightning Twitter feed goes viral with smackdown of new Chargers/Dodgers logo "union"

TAMPA -- There's a hockey game tonight in Amalie Arena but the social media folks with the Tampa Bay Lightning, who were mostly focused on the Sabres and tomorrow's jersey retirement of Martin St. Louis, couldn't help but notice the new logo of the San Diego-turned-Los Angeles Chargers that was unveiled earlier today.

Internet chatter quickly developed that it was an odd, um, "union" between the logos of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Lightning that produced the new Chargers mark.

The Lightning, of course, had its own response.

And as you can see by the numbers at the bottom, that tweet has gone completely off the chart for retweets and likes. Of course, there's one problem with that if the Lightning tries to look at its mentions anytime soon.

And now, not wanting to be outdone, the Dallas Stars have jumped into the fray.
