Buffalo man arrested after alleged attack on woman

A Gerald Avenue man was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday after allegedly choking a female neighbor into unconsciousness and cutting her on the hand with a knife during an argument, according to Buffalo police.

Andre Morris, 38, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault, according to police.

Morris was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree harassment, according to a Buffalo police arrest report.

The woman complained of a small stab wound on her right hand but she refused medical treatment, according to police.

Morris remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center Thursday night.
