School Board must not try to silence Paladino
Regarding the Carl Paladino brouhaha, an article in Sunday’s News quotes Michelle Obama: “I hate diversity workshops. Real change comes from having enough comfort to be really honest and say something very uncomfortable.” Apparently how you react to what someone says depends on which side you’re on.
What Obama says is good guidance. What Paladino of the School Board says about the school situation must be said, regardless of how uncomfortable it makes some people, and regardless of their efforts to silence him.
What Paladino the citizen says about the first lady is irrelevant to Buffalo’s school disasters, regardless of its poor taste.
