Felony assault charge lodged in kitchen knife attack

A Buffalo teen was charged with felony assault and menacing after a confrontation in which she is accused of punching another woman and stabbing her in the thigh with a kitchen knife.

Evevaughnee Williams was arrested by Buffalo police shortly after she allegedly attacked the 35-year-old victim during an argument early Thursday afternoon in a house in the 400 block of East Amherst Street.

Charged with second-degree assault and second-degree menacing, she remained in the Erie County Holding Center Friday night pending further court proceedings.
