Child sex abuse recognition training offered in Niagara County

NIAGARA FALLS - Classes in recognizing and preventing sexual abuse of children will be offered in Niagara Falls and Lockport in January by the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara.

The free "Stewards of Children" programs will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Lockport Public Library, 23 East Ave., and from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Golisano Center for Community Health, Niagara Falls.

The sessions are open to anyone interested in protecting children from sexual abuse, including organizations serving youth, churches, child care providers, educators and parents. The instructor will be Jacqueline Pritchard, Child Advocacy Center education and outreach coordinator.
